TUWEZESHE YOUNG FEMINIST LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME

Tuwezeshe Akina Dada Fellowship Programme, Swahili for ‘empowering our sisters’, is a feminist leadership programme that inspires young black and minority ethnic (BAME) women to enhance their capacity to shape decisions about their rights and freedoms and champion action to end violence against women and girls. The programme is open to young BAME women living in London aged 18 – 30 years who are passionate about ending violence against women and girls and committed to working with others to amplify change at the local and national levels. This programme will provide networking and mentoring opportunities, practical feminist leadership skills and sub-grants to enable selected candidates to undertake social action projects. The training will take place over three weekends in February 2022 and will start on Saturday, 5 February 2022.
