Figure out Your New Goals
Entering a new season is so exciting.
The opportunity, spontaneity and unknown of a new season can be thrilling and act as a driving force. With so much to come, it can be very easy to get wrapped up and want to do everything and then some. As a result, you may feel distracted and pulled in different directions, trying to do it all.
Here at GirlDreamer, we first recommend figuring out what it is that you want. Identify what you want your new season to look like and where you want to be before this season ends. Reassess where you are in life, think of the bigger picture and look at your life objectively to truly determine what you want to achieve.
In doing this, you can ensure the goals you set and want to achieve align with your future self. So, write out your goals and create actionable steps to help you achieve your dreams and become the person you want to be.
Embrace the season
Spring is amazing for so many reasons, and because of this, it is one of the easiest seasons to begin anew and focus on new goals. Brighter mornings, longer days and warmer weather can help you feel alive, and as though you have more hours to do more and focus on your goals.
So, here at GirlDreamer, we recommend embracing the season and doing as much as you can to help sustain your new routine.
Use the extra hours of daylight to spend time on yourself and on the projects you may have been neglecting due to the dull greyness of winter. Use the longer days to dedicate time to your goals and wants, prioritising yourself and your dreams. Use the warmer weather to find more joy, spontaneity and thrill.
Embracing all of the newness that spring brings is an easy way to motivate yourself to do more. A truly life-changing season, we encourage you to follow nature’s suit and grow!
Be Realistic
Setting new goals and creating a new routine can be thrilling. It can be so exciting, empowering and motivating to look ahead and just dream. However, it is vital that you remain realistic and don’t drift too deeply into delusions that may hinder your growth.
The excitement of a new routine should thrill and motivate you. However, it is vital that you remain realistic in what you plan and set as your new goals. This will ensure that your goals are achievable and applicable to where you are in life.
Now, we are not telling you to dull your shine or shrink yourself. But to remain realistic, to ensure you can remain motivated and confident. A huge part of setting goals and creating a new routine is ensuring you can hold yourself accountable and remain motivated.
So, being realistic in what you initially set and plan to focus on can ensure you are able to stick to your routine and achieve your goals and dreams.
Be kind
As we enter a new season, it’s easy to get caught up in trying to do everything and then some. As a result, you may sometimes falter and not always be able to complete everything on your to-do list.
Therefore, it is vital that as you enter a new season and chapter of life, where you are implementing a new routine and setting new goals, you are able to show yourself some grace, kindness, and compassion. We are not superheroes. We do not have endless hours in the day, and sometimes life happens. As a result, sometimes it is just impossible to get things done. Some days, you might not have the energy to complete your to-do list and focus on new goals and desires because you are trying to get through where you are at present.
So, as you navigate a new routine, a new season and a set of new goals, we encourage you to continue showing yourself kindness. Offer yourself some grace and compassion and understand that you can only do what you can do. You cannot do it all. But, remain focused and persevere, because what it meant for you will not miss you and the excitement, opportunity and thrill of a new season will always come through.
